Making any movie is difficult – there are so many things that can go wrong. But when you do it with little kids, with some of them as young as six months, there are so many more things that can go wrong. But at the same time, it’s a lot of fun, and you just never know what is going to happen.
We’ve put together this short collection of “outtakes” and funny things that happened while we were filming Clara Tale. We plan to do this for all the fairy tales we film. We’d love to hear about your favorite moment, so leave us a comment below.
(And as you’ll see, the little girl in the film is named Clara in real life – that’s where the name for Clara Tale and Clara Tales comes from!)

I love the constant money bribes that never seemed to work. I’d go with cupcakes or chocolate next time. Or better yet: chocolate cupcakes!
Positively delightful! I love the laundry falling off the line, and the narrators flubs at the very end. These outtakes are almost as wonderful as the film. Thanks!
I don’t think we’ve seen cuter outtakes! We got a kick out of Millie’s goofs at the end. Aubrey’s favorite part of Clara’s Tale is when the magical owl appears. And I love the baby bubbles. Congrats Dawsons! Looking forward to the next one.
My favorite is Clara saying, “Good job, Lucy! Good job!” and when Clara is sad and both kids say keep saying, “It’s going to be okay, Clara.” It just melts my heart how sweet the kids are to each other.
But my kids favorite part is the “Dollar Bill Song,” and Millie’s outtakes.
I just discovered your wonderful project and can’t wait to see the forthcoming tales! So many fun and sweet moments in the outtakes, but I think my favorite it Clara giving the “thumbs up” after the scene with the watering can. Just adorable! Best wishes on your Kickstarter fundraiser… I hope more folks get involved to make it happen!
